What Teens Bring to Therapy
Adolescence is a time of immense transition. We regularly help teens navigate:
Anxiety & Perfectionism
Academic pressure, sports, and fear of failure.
Depression & Isolation
Feeling numb, hopeless, or withdrawing from friends.
Social Media Stress
Cyberbullying, comparison, and screen-time battles.
Identity & Future
Figuring out who they are and what comes next.
How We Connect with Teens
Teens have a great radar for inauthenticity. If a therapist talks to them like a child or acts like a strict authority figure, the walls go up immediately.
Our approach is collaborative. We treat them with the respect of a young adult while recognizing their developing brains still need guidance. We don't force them to talk; we build a relationship until they want to talk.
* Confidentiality note for parents: For therapy to work, teens need to know their words are private. We maintain their confidentiality while keeping you informed of their general progress and instantly alerting you to any safety concerns.
